Dabei steht – N – für: Natural, No filtration, No limits, Next Level.

2020 Kieselberg Riesling –N–
93/100
„The Deidesheim 2020 Kieselberg Riesling –N– opens with a pure yet intense and spicy-mineral bouquet of ripe lemon juice intertwined with with salty, chalky and yeasty notes. Medium to full-bodied, this is a wine, elegant and textured Riesling with fine phenolic grip that matches perfectly with the ripe and lush fruit. It's a superbly balanced andmouth-filling Kieselberg that should be able to mature over two decades. 12% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in June 2022.“

2021 Kieselberg Riesling –N–
93/100
„From a plot close to the forest and aged on the full lees until June last year in aged tonneaux, the 2021 Kieselberg Riesling –N– offers a concentrated, very intense and saline nose with tonic grapefruit and apricot aromas. Round, lush and savory on the palate, this is a full- bodied, intense and powerful, pure and saline Riesling from 12-year-old massal selections from Alsace. 13% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in June 2023.“

2022 Kieselberg Riesling –N–
93+/100
„The golden-yellow colored 2022 Kieselberg Riesling –N– is deep, very intense and elegant on the rich and aromatic nose as well as pure, saline and complex. Full-bodied, rich and creamy on the palate, this is an utterly complex yet always clear, crystalline and pure, lively mineral and sustainably saline Riesling with remarkable complexity and length. There's remarkable substance here and possibly a hint of smaller than traditional oak vats that give richness, texture and fine tannins. 12.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in November 2023.“

2020 Leinhöhle Riesling –N–
92/100
„An intense citrus color, the Deidesheim 2020 Leinhöhle Riesling –N– and pure, weathered sandstone notes. Cultivated on loam and loamy sand with sandstone debris, the Leinhöhle is elegant, fresh and juicy on the palate, less textured rather than precise, crystalline and grippy compared to the Reiterpfad Hochseel. The finish is tart and still a bit edgy, but this 2020 should develop very well in the bottle. 12% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in June 2022.“

2021 Leinhöhle Riesling –N–
92/100
„The 2021 Leinhöhle Riesling –N– is intense and lemony on the enormously concentrated, complete and yeasty as well as tonic and juniper-scented nose that is enormously dense and complex, saline and in a positive way oxidative. On the palate, this is a dense and complex, powerful, saline and grippy Riesling with fine tannins on the intense, very dense finish. 13% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in June 2023.“

2022 Leinhöhle Riesling –N–
93/100
„Andres's 2022 Leinhöhle Riesling –N– is deep but pure and saline onthe intense yet refined and complex nose that indicates ripe seed fruit aromas intertwined with stony and salty notes. Due to ist loamy/sandy soils, it's still a bit untamed on the palate. This is a medium-bodied yet intense, dense and tight, still a bit untamed Riesling with a ripe and juicy fruit texture and stimulating saline acidity on the finish. With bottle age, this could become a superb Riesling over the years. The finish is already complex and tensioned today. 12.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in November 2023.“

2020 Reiterpfad Hochseel Riesling –N–
93/100
„The citrus colored, unfined and unfiltered 2020 Reiterpfad Hochseel Riesling –N– shows a deep, intense and textured nose with ripe lemon aromas intertwined with sur lie and delicately flinty notes. Full-bodied,lush and elegant on the palate, this is a textured, refined and balanced Riesling with lingering mineral acidity that is wrapped into perfectly ripe and elegant fruit. This is an excellent Reiterpfad that sells for a moderate price. Tasted in June 2022.“

2021 Reiterpfad Hochseel Riesling –N–
93/100
„From the forest and with limestone in the soil, the 2021 Reiterpfad Hochseel Riesling –N– offers a deep and concentrated, still a bit reductive, yeasty and phenolic nose that indicates serious substance and iodine complexity with bright and refreshing lemon aromas. Elegant and juicy on the palate, this is a full-bodied and round, persistently saline and supple dry Riesling with a creamy texture and intense and generous fruit with fine tannins on the finish. It's definitely a wine that needs to be cellared for at least three or four years. It was vinified in a 500-liter tonneau and bottled straight from the barrel with 30 milligrams per liter of added sulfur. 13% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in June 2023.“

2022 Reiterpfad Hochseel Riesling –N–
93/100
„The 2022 Reiterpfad Hochseel Riesling –N– opens with an intense and nutty/almond-scented, very pure and saline bouquet of crushed stones, white pepper, iodine, citrus fruits and ripe seed fruits. This golden-yellow Riesling is elegant, dense and complex, very intense and long on the palate that is provided with a sustainable structure and lemon-flavored freshness. 12.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in November 2023.“

2022 Mäushöhle Am Kirchenberg Riesling
92/100
„The 2022 Mäushöhle Am Kirchenberg Riesling is a pure, deep and intense sandstone Riesling with elegant and stony-scented fruit aromas that indicate great purity and finesse. Lean and elegant on the palate, with bright citrus fruit flavors, this is a moderately intense but tight and characterful, grippy and refreshing Riesling purist with good length and structure. It's too young to adore now, but it has the talent for improvement. 12% stated alcohol. Screw-cap closure. Tasted in November 2023.“

2021 Mäushöhle Am Kirchenberg Riesling
92/100
„From very puristic, sandy soils that benefit from the evening sun, the 2021 Mäushöhle Am Kirchenberg Riesling offers a clear and intense, very elegant, dense and aromatic nose of white, ripe fruits. On the palate, this is a medium-bodied, coolish, savory and tensioned, grippy and vibrant Riesling with character and tension. At an altitude of 240 meters (roughly), it's from a spot close to the forest, which gives the coolish character of the Kirchenberg, 13% stated alcohol. Screw-cap closure. Tasted in June 2023.“

2022 Chardonnay –N–
93/100
„The intensely yellow-golden, unfiltered 2022 Chardonnay –N– opens with a deep, rich and intense yet pure and elegantly mineral nose that indicates fine yeasty notes and those of crushed limestone rocks which are covered by sandy loam here). Vinified in larger oak vats, this full-bodied Chardonnay is clear, rich and very elegant on the nobly textured palate that reveals serious mineral grip and structure and a long, intense and beautifully balanced finish with saline notes in the clear, clean and fresh aftertaste. This is a fabulous wine that survived an extremely dry and sunny midsummer. 12.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in November 2023. This Chardonnay is based on massal selections from Burgundy planted in 1992 between Niederkirchen and Friedelsheim on loess and clay soils with limestone in the subsoil (pH 8). Harvested on 2 September at 87° Oechsle, the grapes were pressed for five hours using a gentle program with little pressure in order to preserve the acidity and produce an elegant Chardonnay rich in finesse, even in a warm vintage such as 2022. The must was fermented spontaneously in tonneaux and in a new stück (1,200-liter oval oak) vat. The malolactic fermentation also took place spontaneously in winter, allowing the carbonic acid to keep the wine fresh and reductive. The first small addition of sulfur was only made when the wine was racked by gravity. This Chardonnay was bottled without filtration, like all the wines in the excellent N series.“

2022 Grauburgunder –N–
93/100
„Vinified like the corresponding Grauburgunder that is cultivated on loess and quartz, the golden-yellow colored, unfiltered 2022 Grauburgunder –N– opens with a discreet and elegant, deep, dense and substantial, rather coolish bouquet of ripe fruits, grated lemon rind and saline notes of finely crushed stones. Full-bodied and rich on the palate, this is a juicy, elegant and refined dry Pinot Gris with very fine tannins that intermingle perfectly with the vital yet delicate acidity of this noble textured white wine. 12.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in November 2023.“

2022 Chardonnay Auxerrois Löss und Lehm
92/100
„The 2022 Chardonnay Auxerrois Löss und Lehm opens with a seriously deep, intense and elegant as well as saline-mineral nose of ripe honeydew melon and pear aromas and notes of crushed stones and citrus fruits. Elegant, pure and fresh on the palate, this is a vivacious and savory, citric, finely bitter and salivating Chardonnay in a very unique style. The wine reveals a fine and lush texture and a highly stimulating vitality on the finish. This is a fabulous Chardonnay that might be partly aged in oak, yet if so, it's just for textural reasons; and if not so, it's really well done. Very fine tannins make the surprise complete. A beautiful wine. 12.5% stated alcohol. Screw-cap closure. Tasted in November 2023.“

2022 Sauvignon Blanc Buntsandstein
91/100
„The 2022 Sauvignon Blanc Buntsandstein opens with a coolish and fiinty bouquet reminiscent of Styrian Sauvignons and of elderberry flowers, ripe and concentrated stone and passion fruit as well as raspberry aromas. On the palate, this is a lush yet pure, fresh and mineral Sauvignon that is more than just fruit. The fruit on the palate is pure, just ripe and stimulatingly phenolic, and despite its moderate alcohol level, this Sauvignon is intense and even concentrated and rather full-bodied. It has a very long and stimulating finish, but just to warn you, it's not even a bit charming but very, very good. 12% stated alcohol. Screw-cap closure. Tasted in November 2023“.
